Varium crouched in his human form 50 yards away from one of the caverns many openings, planning the best way to get in with Patrick. "We need to be quick, we don't have time for stealth. And the more of his lackeys we can pick off now, the better. I don't want to deal with them on the way out, assuming we get that far."

"Okay, good idea. But we can't risk an open fight out here.... I have an idea..." Patrick did a low run over to a line of bushes and dissappeared behind them. 6 seconds later he appeared behind a sentry. Patrick pulled him down into the bushes and throttled his neck. He got back to a crouch and whistled to Varium.

Varium ran over as well, nodding approvingly at the body half hidden by the brambles. "A clean kill. Let's go."
At a different entrance the scientist walked in calmly with Faey slung over his shoulder, carrying her to the throne room and putting her down on the floor in front of the Overlord. "Here she is, my lord. The were was not even guarding her."

Patrick followed Varium down the entrance, expecting anything.

They ran down a few hallways, making quick turns after checking around each corner to check for guards and finging none. After a while he stopped, pressing his back to a wall and mouthing the word sentries to Patrick, indicating that they were about to turn the corner and were well armed.

"Hello . . " He looked down at her with his arms crossed. A large sword at his side. "Where is your lover boy?" He shouted at her.

She blinked up at him, her head still spinning from having been hit so hard. "I'm... I'm not telling you..." The scientist kicked her, sending her sprawling on the ground a few feet away, then glanced at his master apologetically.

Patrick smiled. Revenge.... He peered around the corner and spotted two sentries. He made a hand signal for Varium. "I'll take the one on the right.." He cocked his wrist back. A long narrow blade appeared to sprout from it. He winked at Varium. He held the blade at his chest level and sprung aronud the corner. Pouncing on the guard. Knocking him down onto his face, He puyt the blade to the back of the guards neck and thrust it in. He sensed his vulnerability and waited for Varium.

He glared at the scientist. Then turned back to Faey "Please, don't make me do things that I will regret. However we did install some new torture devices..." He said with an evil smile.

Varium lunged at the second guard, catching him before he could open fire on Patrick and breaking his neck. He set the body down on the floor, standing and dusting himself off cooly. Then he nodded at Patrick and began running again, stopping at a few doors now to look inside. "Most are empty, but they seem to be bedchambers..."

Faey's face paled and she tried to fly, able only to flutter her wings slightly because of the clip keeping her grounded. "You... You won't hurt me." She pushed herself up, standing with her legs shoulderwidth apart and arms crossed stubbornly. Either this is going to be the biggest mistake of my now-shortned life, or it will save it..

"Then that means they are somewhere else..." He retracted the blade. "So what's the plan?" He asked curiously.

He smiled. "I have done worse things.." He flicked his hands and two scientists came over. One held her still and another injected her with Sedative. They carried her to a large table and strapped her hands and legs. The Overlord walked over to the table and waited for her to wake up.

arium paused. "We find the Overlord and kill him. If possible, slowly and painfully, but a quick death will do in a pinch. When he's dead his lackeys will stop regenerrating, which will make it that much easier to get out of this hellhole. Then you can go back to your little fairy pet and I'll be on my way back to the wilderness." He continued running down the hallway, making a few turns. Each turn seemed to take them into a darker hallway, each one leading deeper into the expanse of caverns.
