He sidestepped and smacked her lightly on the butt with his stick. "How come you could never fight like this before?"

She tried to knock his stick away, almost hitting herself in the process. "I'm not a violent person, and I don't like to fight, so I don't usually unless I have to." She scowled at him again, "Or unless I'm challenged by someone calling me a 'damsel in distress'."

"But you don't fight back if someone breaks into your apartment and tries to abduct you?" He lightly swung at her thigh.

She stepped out of the way and swung at his chest again. "Never really been in that situation seeing as before I came here I was staying on the streets, and for the most part I could fly away if someone tried to assault me."

The stick hit him right in the middle of the chest. "Nice hit, Well. If all goes well. You won't be put in that situation again..." He smiled and lunged at her. With his stick held diagonally in front of him.

She brought her stick up in front of her, wincing at the sound of the bamboo sticks impacting.

He smiled again. Their faces were inches apart. "Very nice, I didn't think you would block that... we need to get you a real sword..."

"No way." She frowned and stepped back, letting the stick fall down to her side. "I am not going to use a sword."

"A staff?" He grinned madly as he remembered something.

She seemed confused. "What? What's with the grin?"

"I have a long ball ended staff that I got from a Tribal leader in Nunavut.... I would like you to use it."

He dropped his Bamboo stick and walked over to his closet. He reached inside and pulled a long Maple staff. A large round, well polished stone was attached to the end of it. It was Five feet long. He held it out for her. "Try it"

Faey took the staff from him tenatively, examining it. It was strdy, but not so heavy that she wouldn't be able to fly a mile or two with it at a decently fast speed. The wood was beautiful, as was the stone attached, and if there had been any designs carved into it she would have assumed it was purely decorative. "I could use this..." She swung it around in the air a few times, getting accustomed to the feel of it.

He smiled. "Good to know someone will use it, I've had no use for it. I like my swords." He sat down on the bed and grabbed his swords.
